| dc.description.abstract | Objectives: To assess the knowledge, and practice on family planning among the married women of reproductive age group attending At SOS Hospital Mogadishu Somalia. Methodology: It was descriptive, cross-sectional and facility -based study in SOS hospital in Mogadishu-Somalia State during six months (November 2017 – April 2018). A total of 150 women of child bearing age were interviewed regarding their awareness and practices of contraception. Results: The mean ± SD of age was 30.7 ± 7.2 years. The minority of women (40.0%) heard and had knowledge about family planning, while (60.0%) said did not know anything about family planning. Sixty five women (43.3%) practiced family planning, while eight five women (56.7%) did not. Conclusion: The present study concludes that a significant proportion of respondents have poor knowledge about family planning. And practice of contraception and compliance is low. | en_US |
