dc.description.abstract Performance appraisal is defined as the systematic evaluation of an employee's work performance over a predetermined period. Managers use this process to assess employees' contributions during the previous year, functioning similarly to an employee report card. Employees who work across multiple departments often report that performance review processes vary significantly within the same organization. Healthcare facilities employ diverse structures and methodologies for performance evaluation. However, some appraisal systems are poorly designed and executed, creating negative experiences for both managers and staff members. Performance appraisal serves as a mechanism to assess individual worker productivity and performance, determining how effectively employees contribute to organizational growth and the achievement of strategic objectives.
